Markers appeared in the 60s of the last century, when conventional writing utensils could no longer meet the growing needs of users. Today, there are various types of markers with different ink properties for different tasks and surfaces:

• Highlighters are bright neon-coloured markers for highlighting or underlining lines in printed or handwritten text. They are indispensable in school and in the office when you need to process a large amount of information and highlight the main points, check a document, make and structure records. Highlighter markers have a water-based ink and a wedge-shaped writing nib that allows you to make both wide and fine lines. Axent highlighter markers leave a bright mark on all types of paper. The Axent website also offers text marker sets in the most popular colours. In the Delta Economy Series, you'll also find text highlighters with a slim body that takes up very little space in your bag or pencil case.

• Permanent markers are designed for applying long-lasting inscriptions on various surfaces - metal, wood, glass, cardboard, plastic, etc. Axent's range includes permanent markers with a round writing nib and a rubber grip for easy handling.

• Whiteboard markers are essential in offices, schools, universities and various training sessions where magnetic whiteboards are used for visual communication. They have a water-based ink and are suitable for whiteboards or other smooth surfaces - the marker trace can be easily removed with a whiteboard sponge, dry cloth or napkin. In addition to the markers individually, Axent also offers a set of 4 whiteboard markers in a plastic case.

• Lacquer markers are used for decorating, painting on wood or ceramics, stained glass, interior designers, and industrial labelling. Their special feature is a highly pigmented ink that adheres even to rough surfaces in a dense layer and leaves a bright, saturated mark, similar to paint or varnish. Axent markers for decorating are available in 8 colours (including metallic gold and silver) and 3 types of writing nibs for different line thicknesses: 0.5 mm, 1.8-2.2 mm, 2.4-2.8 mm.

• The CD/DVD markers are permanent markers with a fine tip for making permanent marks on the non-working surface of CD/DVD discs. They can also be used as regular fine-tipped permanent markers on a variety of surfaces such as plastic, wood, metal, cardboard. The black permanent marker for CD/DVD is available in the Delta series.
